Alexandra SiteGard® gates are extensively used within the construction and demolition sector for building site security or yard entrance protection.
When setting up a temporary construction or demolition project, a variety of access points are often needed, not only for vehicles but also construction site workers and authorised visitors.
Access points and site hoarding setup may change as work progresses, meaning a security gate solution is required that is easy to install, flexible to site changes and provides the necessary privacy and protection from potential thieves, vandals and intruders.
The SiteGard range from Alexandra Security is the ideal solution for quickly and cost-effectively securing the access points around the perimeter of your new building yard while still allowing for frequent access for construction traffic and workers on foot. With sizes available from 1.3m wide all the way up to 8m wide, almost any access point can be secured using a SiteGard gate.
Smaller pedestrian and site personnel entrances can be secured with our single-leaf hoarding gate, while larger vehicle entrances can be protected with our double-leaf or bi-folding double leaf gates. Whichever construction site security gate you choose, the option of base plated or strapped posts, as well as adjustable hinge bolts allows for a secure install no matter the profile of your site setup.
The flat wire weld-mesh of SiteGard steel hoarding gates not only prevents climbing, but also allows for clear vision through the gate, providing additional safety from other pedestrians and vehicles on the other side of the gate when in use. Every gate in the SiteGard range can also easily be clad with ply over the wire mesh, allowing for increased privacy into your yard.
In situations where dig-in posts are not allowed or the ground isn’t suitable, SiteGard gates can be securely mounted onto concrete blocks using our heavy-duty corner straps. Precisely laser-folded to match SiteGard gate posts, these single-piece mild steel straps are also powder-coated black to match the finish of the gate. Straps can be fitted to suit any variation depending on where the concrete block sits in relation to the gates, and are strong enough to hold our largest 8m Sitegard bi-fold double-leaf gate.
All SiteGard temporary security gates also come with gate restrainers, a simple but essential safety device to prevent the gate failing should the top or bottom hinge fail. Unlike other site gates, SiteGard gates, frames and posts are all powder coated black, protecting the steel and providing a long-lasting, high-quality finish.
We hold stock of common SiteGard gate sizes at our depot in Kent, meaning you can order, collect and install your gate at your site on the same day. For sites further afield, transport can be arranged for delivery and unloaded directly to your yard, usually within 48 hours. The full range of SiteGard standard gates and post sets are Temporary Works Approved. This takes into account wind loadings for all mainland UK wind zones as well as notional crowd loadings, in accordance with Temporary Works Forum (TwF) guidance. The calculations have been carried out using British Standards design codes.

All you need to do is to simply cut out the standard slide latch on site.
The self-closer can also be fitted on site in less than 5 minutes with standard tools.
