    Education Premises Fencing And Gates

School Privacy FencingSchool Fencing & Metal Gates For The Education Sector

Ensuring effective perimeter security and safety is especially important to schools, as is finding a manufacturer that understands the extra features required within this sector. Here at Alexandra Security, our range of fencing and gates has been ideally designed for use in public schools, nurseries, playgrounds and sports fields. The extra detail we take in our product specification provides increased safety and assurance that our products are more than fit for purpose.

Security Fencing & Entrance Gates For Your School

We have a number of fencing products that can be used within educational premises. Our Protek 2000 Privacy fence is especially popular as a school or nursery boundary fence as it provides the traditional strength of a metal mesh fence with the added benefit of providing extra privacy and an attractive finish. The timber inserts create a flat surface with no hand or foot ledges, making it child safe.

Our twin-wire sports fencing has been designed to create a ball court or MUGA with high rebound properties. The extra wires in the lower sections of the mesh panels mean that balls cannot escape the perimeter through the fence but rather rebound back. Matching security gates can also be supplied to create a self-contained sports pitch that is ideal for school or college use.

Alexandra entrance gates have a number of extra safety features incorporated into their design, making them an ideal fencing choice for schools and other eucaitonal facilities. The vertical slide latch has no protruding handle or bar while the drop bolts are held inbound within the gates. This creates a surface that has no sharp protruding edges. In addition, gate restrainers are fitted to each post, and will hold the gate upright in the unlikely event that the hinges fail.

Whether your school requires entry gates, perimeter security fencing or sports fencing, we grouped a selection of our products that are best suited to schools, colleges, playgrounds and nurseries, making it easier for you to narrow down your security product choices. The Protek range of mesh gates are particularly suitable for pedestrian access gates, while our sports gates can be installed on entrances to ball courts.

School Fencing - Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why do UK schools have fences?

In the UK, schools install fences to serve as a protective boundary, ensuring the safety of students and staff by keeping unauthorised individuals out and students in. A robust perimeter fence deters intruders and provides privacy, shielding the school grounds from prying eyes. Additionally, certain fence designs, such as palisade fences, allow children to observe their surroundings while maintaining security and parental visibility.

  • Why do UK schools have gates?

UK schools have gates with access control to both safeguard students from unauthorised entry, and to prevent pupils from leaving unsupervised. Security gates play a crucial role in managing entry and exit points, ensuring that the school remains secure around the clock.

  • Why do schools have green fences?

Green is commonly chosen for schools because it can blend well with surrounding greenery. Beyond aesthetics, the colour green is known to have a calming effect and to foster a sense of connection with nature, contributing to a welcoming and tranquil atmosphere within the school premises.
