Protek 358 Gates are designed to match our Protek 358 prison mesh fencing system. The 358 mesh uses narrow apertures, preventing intruders from gaining a secure foothold.

358 Gates are available in both single and double-leaf configurations, and feature inverted hinges as standard. This type of hinge prevents the gates being lifted off the posts once installed. These gates also feature a padlockable slide-latch and drop-bolt. For extra safety, a secure gate restrainer is added between the post and the gate, to hold the gate in place in the event a hinge failed.

Protek 358 mesh gates are manufactured to order in the exact sizes you require. Single-leaf pedestrian gates are normally a standard size of 1.2m wide to allow for wheelchair access. All of our prison mesh gates are galvanised and powder coated to provide a long-lasting rust and weather protection. Our common colour is RAL 6005 moss green, but we can powder coat the gate to any RAL colour on a short lead time. We also offer marine coating for gates or fencing installed near the coast. This thicker powder coat will help prevent rusting from salt water getting onto the metal.

Protek 358 Elite – SR-1 rated security gates

To match our 358 Elite fencing, or available as a high-security stand-alone gate, our SR-1 rated Protek Elite gate provides an increased level of protection. SR1 security gates can withstand opportunistic attempts at forced entry using basic tools such as cable cutters, screwdrivers, knives and hammers, for a period of up to 1 minute. This, combined with Protek 358’s tight mesh spacing, creates a security gate that is very hard to climb, cut through or force entry.
